IP Video Surveillance
An Internet Protocol Camera, or IP camera, is a type of digital video camera typically used for surveillance. Unlike analog closed circuit television, IP cameras can send and receive data via computer network and the internet. IP cameras can offer clearer, crisper images, be tracked easily, and easier to zoom in on images, track particular scenes, and enhance features. A digital camera views the scene in front of it, broadcasts the video images over a Local Area Network where it’s then transmitted to a computer server. The server in turn manages all this information. And depending on the software used to manage the digital images, it can record, display or retransmit the images to anywhere in the world.
