Crescent Moon Orthodontics

Challenge:

The goal for Michael Zetz was to be one of the most technologically advanced orthodontic offices in the area. He wanted a paperless office with computers at each station. He wanted his patients to be able to enjoy music throughout each room. Using Digital X-Ray machines with a HDTV Presentation Room to allow the patients to see their X-Rays with precise detail and larger than life realism would help them understand the treatment plan. He wanted to also allow communications between both offices as many of his clients travelled between both offices throughout their treatment. As this is a medical office, we had to make sure that everything was HIPPA compliant.

  • Assistant had to pull daily charts for the list of patients for the day
  • X-Rays would take an assistant and chair out of rotation for more than 15 minutes
  • Communications with other professionals had to wait until Michael was actually onsite to be able to read the charts and patient information.
  • The doctor could not see as many patients because the scheduling was not trackable to measure actual times versus project times to do procedures.
Solution:

Kotori Technologies, LLC had to have a step by step process starting from the ground up to keep the ease of use to the end user.

Phase 1 : Installation of all base wiring for Data, Phone, Audio and video during construction of our clients business.
Phase 2 : Installation of audio and video equipment. Then installation of computer equipment
Phase 3 : Configuration of all equipment, network and software
Phase 4 : Training for all staff members on equipment operation and maintenance.

By wiring the facility for audio, telephone and networking Kotori Technologies, LLC was able to meet all of these challenges. Once the ground work was in place they were able to take the dream of Dr. Zetz and make it into a reality. Kotori Technologies, LLC installed computers at each workstation allowing Michael and his team of nurses and assistances to update patient’s information during the process. By setting up a VPN between locations, they were also able to allow communications between both offices via a secure channel of communications.

Results:

This increased productivity efficiencies throughout locations by 20% within the first quarter of implementation. Michael was able to see 20% more patients per day between both locations. This led to an overall 20% increase in profits. He is able to see patient's information anywhere he has an internet connection. He can give the patients dentist information in seconds, when before it took hours. With his increased efficiencies in communications and productivity Michael thinks that he should see more than a 35% growth in next 2 years.
